Are you a note-taker or note maker? The progression of personal knowledge management.

Perhaps, without your awareness, there has been a revolution taking place in the world of knowledge management

Hi gang, really looking forward to sharing this article I wrote for The Weave. I’ve been getting really obsessed (in a good way) with personal knowledge management (PKM). It’s one of those things I knew nothing about a couple of months ago but now I have found it I can’t imagine my life without it. Without hyperbole it has changed my entire aproce to knowledge, thinking and creating So have a look at this first paragraph from the article and then check out the full article on The Weave’s website so it can change your life as well!

Think back to when you were perhaps a student sitting in a lecture theatre. You laid out your notebook or laptop, water bottle and other paraphernalia. As soon as the lecturer walks in and begins talking you look around and see everybody is face down frantically scribbling down everything they can trying to capture what is been said verbatim.

Then weeks, perhaps even days later you look at your notes and you remember nothing. This is because you spend all your time and energy trying to copy what was said rather than understanding what was said. This has been a problem for many when it comes to gaining knowledge but today I want to introduce to you an obsession that has changed the way I deal with the knowledge. If you’ve never heard of personal knowledge management (PKM) then this concept could revolutionise the way you think and create. Whether you are a sales executive or sales assistant the benefits could be enormous.
